TOMORROW: Natalie Duncan & Rob Green

The two Nottingham soul singers unite for the first time since performing together last year at Natalie Duncan's sell-out collaborations show at Nottingham Contemporary in November.

This time the two have delivered a jazzy re-imagining of classic 90's RnB hit "No Scrubs" - made famous by TLC. Recorded live and acoustic at prestigious Paper-Stone studios in Nottingham by Tom "T'Smyth" Smith.

Caught for YouTube by hot-shot independant film company Lace Market Media Group; this video is set to be a real visual and musical treat!

Rob & Nat's "No Scrubs" Jazz Lounge cover goes live TOMORROW AT 6PM (GMT)

2015 is here!

Which marks the completion of a very exciting secret project I have been working on!

In October last year Lace Market Media Group, who have filmed my last two videos, approached me to score their upcoming film "Annie"; the latest in their 'Nottingham Legends' film series.

Their latest documentary takes a close and personal look at Anamarie Spaziano (Or Annie, from Annie's Burger Shack to you and me). An incredibly upbeat american entrepreneur making her way in good ol' Nottingham. It covers her eventful landing in the 90's to what it really took to build her Nottingham Burger Shack to such a huge success during one of the most challenging economic climates for new businesses.

For me one of the best selling points of the role would be the opportunity to work with Sam Daunt, the composer for LMMG's last 'Nottingham Legend' short film "The Cockle Man". Sam is a master of atmosphere and used her sensitive and brilliant orchestral compositions to help bring "The Cockle Man" story to life. I was excited and comforted to know I would be working with a pro through what would be my first co-composed film score. It was a real joy to work together on this with her.

Truthfully I am a little nervous to see what everyone thinks. Next Tuesday my heart will be in my throat on that red carpet; I really believe this is a fantastic story, the whole team has worked incredibly hard and I hope, for all of us, we have done this rockstar chef justice!

Guess what?! You can stream the film online at the same time as the premiere screening on the 20th Jan for 24 hours! Join the VIP list to be emailed when it's live!

Sofar Sessions: Up Close and Personal

Yesterday I performed my first ever secret gig. Sofar Sounds (YouTube them!) were doing their first ever Nottingham event, which entails fifty people cramming into a generous strangers living room and hearing unplugged live music. Within arms reach.

The location and even the line-up are kept secret pretty much up until the night; so I had no idea I would be sharing the stage/fireplace with the fabulous Bud (@BudOfficial) or the guitar maestro George Holroyd (@georgeholroyd1). Both incredible artists so if this is the first time you are reading their names you should definitely drop them in google!

Being able to perform your music in such an intimate setting is really something special. As much as going onto a big stage can be very exciting; there is something more personal about this set-up. More vulnerable. I'm definitely going to find a way to do this again!!

Thank you everyone who came down yesterday and checked it out (and thank you to all of you for singing with me ;) and major amore to sofar sounds to inviting me round! It really was a wonderful night!

Big love
