THIS FRIDAY: Songwriters UNITE!

I love seeing a live band and big setups but sometimes you can't beat a show with just a songwriter, their instrument and their voice. This Friday I get to do just that with some of the BEST songwriters around for a one off evening of intimate acoustic music! 

Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton have always supported new music and has become known as one of the best places outside of London to experience intimate performances of all genres of music. SevenArts, in association with MEWL Leeds, are hosting their first ever Summer Songwriting Showcase, highlighting some of the best rising singer/songwriters from Yorkshire and beyond THIS FRIDAY 3RD JULY!

I am SO EXCITED to be perfoming and also hosting this event and will be introducing fellow performers Giles Winterton, Christella Litras, Tila & Tavelah Robinson, Marion Zubrzycki and Natalie Duncan when they take the stage to deliver their own sets! Every act has a killer set of vocals and a real passion for lyrics. There will be some collaborations and some debuts of brand new music so it is DEFINATELY worth coming to check it!

Bristol's SW7's festival was a wicked stop on the Summer Dates tour! Considering it was the first year of the festival, Bristol showed just how well it can kickstart a party! - Thanks everyone who checked it out on Periscope too!

This show was so much fun and it was great to meet all of you! (and have a cheeky dance to Youth Club after the set ;) Thank you everybody for bringing such a good vibe, for singing with me and for grabbing my EP! (If I sold out before you could get one - click here)

Fingers crossed we'll get to meet up again next year! XD

Last night I kicked off my string of summer dates by indulging my love affair with my hometown and performed a FREE acoustic headline for some of my most loyal (and longest standing) fans! 

It was such a pleasure to play for such a wonderful crowd! The energy,  the sing-a-longs and the beautiful venue in the heart of Hockley really made the evening something spectacular!

To every person who attended, who streamed the gig via Periscope and every person I did and didn't get to speak to after (or squash into Rough Trade Nottingham's photobooth in an attempt to break their 'most people in the booth' record!) Thank you. So much.

Your support has such a huge impact, it's inspiring; I really mean that. I've been away for a while and the turn out yesterday blew me away! Thank you. So much.

There a few times in life that a sentance must be typed out in all capitals. But this is definitely one of them! 

A lot of wonderful (not so secret/secret) things have been happening this year, putting together plans for what I hope will be a very exciting year next year. (More about that a little later!) 

As usual, despite being away, the supportive energy of the midlands is wonderful! Sharing my recent video of Homegrown Superhero from my Sofar session and even more incredibly over 450 of you tuned in online for my Periscope show last month!

I've been gigging around and have secured two dates in Leeds and Bristol over the next few months but I know it's been SO LONG since my last Nottingham gig. As a Thank You for all the Notts love I've partnered up with Rough Trade Nottingham to bring you a FREE an acoustic headline show next THURSDAY 11TH JUNE!

It's a little short notice, but it'd be wicked to see the Notts family again! It's going to be a wicked night so come down, bring some friends and lets sing! (Check the event on Facebook HERE)
